Dr. Stephen Stanley, DMD
My name is Dr. Eric Stanley and I am EXCITED to meet you all! I want you all to know that my #1 priority is to provide excellent care for you and your families. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and treated with the highest level of customer service possible. It is also a great honor to carry on the service that Dr. Daniel Mayeda has provided to Maui for more than 40 years! We are fortunate that Dr. Mayeda is still a huge part of our practice!
To tell you a little about myself, I attended dental school at Oregon Health and Science University, in Portland, Oregon. Throughout the years, I have poured countless hours into continuing education courses. As a patient at Island Smiles, you will be confident that you will experience the highest level of excellence in dentistry. Our team is highly trained and equipped to provide you with the best service on Maui.
A little more about my life and hobbies: I was born and raised in New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, as it goes. All throughout school, I played basketball, football and ran track. I love to listen to live music and I play a few different instruments including drums and guitar. I enjoy a diversity of exercise, including Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai training.

Dr. William Brooks, DMD
I am thrilled to inform you that I will be joining the Island Smiles Dental Care family. I am proud and honored to be able to continue providing the highest quality dental care alongside Dr. Eric Stanley and his dedicated team. I am in my seventh year practicing dentistry and have focused on advancing my skills and techniques through over 300 hours of continuing education courses. My philosophy in dentistry is to always focus as much on quality care as patient comfort. I will do everything I can to provide you with a pain-free, comfortable visit, and ensure that you also feel comfortable to speak up if you need anything, have any questions or trouble understanding any aspect of your oral health care.
A little about myself. I am New Jersey born, Phoenix, AZ raised, but most recently spent several years working as a dentist in Austin, TX. I received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and a D.M.D. degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. Throughout the years I spent in education and training, I consistently committed myself to my community. As a member of the dental school’s student government and several clubs and organizations, I had the opportunity to provide free dental care to the underserved population in the Kingdom of Tonga. Two weeks spent on this South Pacific island and I felt an overwhelming sense of fulfillment, reminding me why I chose to become a dentist so many years ago: to provide the powerful, and sometimes life changing, impacts of a healthy and confident smile. These experiences have been crucial in shaping who I am as a dentist today and who I vow to be to the Maui community.
As a new resident on Maui, I am loving the year round beautiful weather that allows me to spend so much free time outside. When not at work, you can find me hiking, attempting to surf at the beach, or exploring the island with my girlfriend, Ashley, and our shiba inu, Maya.
